The book isn't really a part of the "Kane and Abel" trilogy. Even though Florentyana Kane is the president, it seems that this is the only use Archer does with her character and the rest of the story has nothing to do with Florentyana and the story-lines of the two previous books of the series. Whereas I understand why Archer chose to revise the original book, the reader should be aware of this matter and approach the book with zero expectations for the book to be another part of the series of "Kane and Abel".
Regardless to its place in the trilogy, as an individual book, it is a good book with an interesting story about the FBI and a plot to kill the president. The story-line is a bit predictable but there are some surprises along the way that makes the reading worthwhile.
