The Federal Reserve is owned by the Ruling Families such as the Rockefellers, The Rothchilds, The DuPonts, and the Bush's among others. They are the most powerful and the most wealthy of ALL the national families. It is really not a matter of how much money THEY have but how much money they can CREATE if they decide to borrow from such Countries as China and Europe. PLUS, The Federal Reserve also has the power to PRINT US currency so they can MAKE as much money as they want. Of course, the result will be runaway inflation if they print MORE money than the country can back with it's trade surplus. The Fed charges the United States for any money they print, PLUS the interest that is due on it, since the USA does not have enough money to back it's purchases of currency.
I'm sure there is a limit of sorts but as we have seen lately they haven't even come CLOSE to reaching it yet so I'm sure they have the ability to come up with another Trillion Dollars if they HAVE to but hopefully they won't be asked. WE already owe the Federal REserve so much money that the govt will NEVER be able to pay them off. Each year the govt can barely pay off the interest that is due, which is over a half trillion dollars each year.

There are 12 Federal Reserve Banks, and they are located in the following cities: Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Richmond, Atlanta, Chicago, St Louis, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Dallas, and San Francisco. Each reserve Bank is responsible for member banks located in its district. The size of each district was set based upon the population distribution of the United States when the Federal Reserve Act was passed. Each regional Bank has a president, who is the chief executive officer of their Bank. Each regional Reserve Bank's president is nominated by their Bank's board of directors, but the nomination is contingent upon approval by the Board of Governors. Presidents serve five year terms and may be reappointed
