Hazor’s important role in ancient times is reflected in the Bible and in extra-biblical sources from throughout the Fertile Crescent covering a period from the second millennium BCE through the first century CE. Hazor is the largest tell-site in Israel. Some of the most controversial problems in biblical history directly relate to Hazor.
