תקציר הספר
During a typical office visit, a provider has approximately fifteen minutes to interview, examine, diagnose, and appropriately treat each patient. The History and Physical Examination Workbook: A Common Sense Approach, is a must-have resource for developing these skills. Providing clinical practice in the art of performing H&Ps through the use of flow models, this workbook encourages students to avoid memorization and develop a logical approach to patients’ chief complaints by allowing them to partner up as patient and "provider." In the first clinical practice section, entitled History Taking, the patient presents his/her complaint, and the provider asks the questions necessary to discovering the underlying problem. The second clinical practice section, Physical Examination, teaches students how to perform a detailed examination by guiding them through a problem-specific examination of the human body--where they often discover true pathology. After completing this workbook, students will be better prepared not only for practical boards, but for actual patient encounters.
