Peter Elbow and Pat Belanoff codirected the writing program at SUNY Stony Brook. Elbow is the author of Writing with Power and Everyone Can Write: Essays Toward a Hopeful Theory of Writing and Teaching Writing. Belanoff is co-author of The Right Handbook and essays about composition and also about Anglo-Saxon literature.
