El pasado
En el año 782 el emperador Carlomagno recibió un maravilloso regalo de Ibn al'Arabi, el gobernador de Barcelona: un juego de ajedrez ornado con piedras preciosas y labrado en oro y plata, el célebre Ajedrez Montglane. La leyenda cuenta que estas piezas ostentan un oscuro y misterioso poder y por ello muchos hombres las han codiciado. Para evitarlo, todas las piezas fueron escondidas bajo tierra.
