Leadership isn’t just for a chosen few. Strong team skills are essential in all kinds of settings, and all teens can practice skills and attitudes leaders use. The 36 activities in this book make learning about leadership a hands-on, active experi¬ence. Kids are called on to recognize each other’s strengths, become better listen¬ers, communicate clearly, identify their values, build trust, set goals, and more. Each activity takes 20–45 minutes, so adults have a lot of flexibility in deciding when and how to use them. May be used as a supplement to the author’s Building Everyday Leadership in All Teens or on its own. The included CD-ROM (for Macintosh and Windows) features all of the reproducible forms from the book.

Every teen can be a leader. This easy-to-use deck of discussion and writing prompts helps instill a leadership attitude in teens by encouraging them to think about their beliefs and goals, how they communicate, what they admire in a leader, and more. Each card contains at least one prompt; many also include definitions of key words, “Imagine This!” scenarios, “What would you do?” questions, and “Stuck?” prompts that provide help for hard to talk about questions. You can build complete lessons around Everyday Leadership Cards or use them for a quick discussion between other activities. The card deck can be used independently or as a supplement to the award-winning book Building Everyday Leadership in All Teens, and is great for group or one-on-one situations. Every teen can be a leader. That's because leadership is not just about taking the lead in big ways, but in everyday small things, too. The sessions in this book guide teens to explore what it means to be a leader, how to work with others, ethical decision-making, risk-taking, team-building, communication, creative thinking, and more. Teens learn what's necessary to do something, even if that something is just speaking up. Choose the sessions that seem best for your class or group, or explore leadership through an entire school year. Requires use of the student book, Everyday Leadership. Includes reproducibles.

Written and experiential activities help teens discover their own leadership potential and develop skills that guide them to act responsibly and make a difference in the world around them. Teens gain a greater understanding of who they are, what matters to them, how that translates into leadership, and how leadership relates to everyday life. Written activities encourage reflection; "do something" activities call for commitment and action. Both enable teens to reach new levels of leadership. Created for use with Building Everyday Leadership in All Teens, this consumable guide also functions as a stand-alone resource for personal growth.
