An assignment restoring the Hidden Falls carousel could not have come at a better time for Julie Unger. A change of scenery, a chance to leave the heartbreak of her recent divorce behind her, and the opportunity to spend a year doing what she loves most--working with her beloved carousel horses--are all just what she needs. But what she doesn't expect is the presence of handsome architect Rick Swanson and his son Josh, a silent child traumatized by his mother's death. Josh has refused to speak since discovering his mother dead, a model of a stargazer carousel horse clutched in her hand. It will take a miracle to cure him of the trauma. But maybe all Josh needs is some time with Julie and her painted ponies...Both Julia and Rick are wounded by painful memories and wary of falling in love. Yet, sometimes, love and healing grow in the most unlikely of spots....

While others might long for city lights, Claire Connors is content in Hidden Falls teaching high school and serving on every town committee. But when a dwindling population threatens to close the school and change the town irrevocably, Claire knows it'll take a small miracle to keep her hometown alive.

That's when John Moreland enters the scene. He made millions in urban gentrification and has no intention of returning to his ancestral home of Hidden Falls, even though the family estate is up for sale. He also has absolutely no intention of doing business with feisty Claire Connors. Intelligent and beautiful, she's everything John could ever want in a partner or a wife, but he doesn't want a partner or a wife. Or so he thinks.

Sparks fly, fanned by Claire's matchmaking grandmother and a meddling town council. There should be no chance of a happy ending. But sometimes miracles happen when you least expect them....

It ought to be the beginning of happily-ever-after: After spending a year in Switzerland, Jane Moreland is back home in Hidden Falls, reunited with Matt Wagner, the man she's loved since she was a schoolgirl. Surely nothing will block their path to happiness, for Matt is no longer the boy from the wrong side of the tracks. He's Hidden Falls' newest attorney, a man whose idealism has turned him into an advocate for the mill workers. Unfortunately, that pits him against his childhood adversary, Jane's brother.

Matt has loved Jane since the day he saw her riding a merry-go-round, her arm stretched out to catch the brass ring. If the world were perfect, he'd marry her, and they'd live happily ever after. But the world, as Jane and Matt discover, is not perfect, and marriage would mean unthinkable sacrifices for both of them. Jane is better off marrying the railroad tycoon's son and leaving Matt to devote his life to the mill workers.

That's the right solution. Or is it? Join Jane and Matt as they travel a road filled with twists and turns in their search for the elusive brass ring of love....

Her face forever changed by a tragic fire, Anne Moreland returns to her hometown of Hidden Falls, hoping to resume her old life. But nothing is the same. Her brother is gone; his nemesis is back in town; and the man who meets her train is a stranger, a handsome stranger who carves the most incredible carousel horses. He's a man who loves beauty and adventure--absolutely the wrong man for a scarred woman who is building a new life for herself in Hidden Falls. No matter how wonderful he is, it would be foolish to dream of a future with Rob.

Rob Ludlow will never settle down, at least not until he's resolved the mystery from his past. And when he does settle down, no matter how much he might wish otherwise, it will not be with a woman like Anne. She deserves far better than an itinerant craftsman. She deserves a man who can give her all the luxuries she had before the fire. Yet it hurts him deeply to see her being courted by the wealthiest man in town.

Anne and Rob reconcile themselves to the fact that they will only be friends, nothing more. But sometimes Fate has other ideas and love blossoms in the most unexpected places....

If there's one thing Eleanor Menger knows it's that she will never marry the man her uncle has chosen for her. Even though it means giving up her comfortable life in New York City, somehow she'll find a way to support herself until she's free from her uncle's guardianship. An advertisement for workers at the textile mill in Hidden Falls seems like the answer to Eleanor's dilemma. No matter how difficult it is to handle a loom, she'll be safe there, for no one would expect an heiress to be a common laborer. All she needs to do is make sure no one--especially not Brad Harrod--learns her true identity. Brad Harrod is bored with his life. Though at some point he'll inherit the family's railroad, his father is unwilling to give up any control. Add to that the fact that the woman Brad's loved all his life refused him and you have one unhappy man. To make matters worse, the woman who looks so out of place in the second-class train car refuses to talk to him. How humiliating! Eleanor's rebuff stings his pride, as does the fact that she considers the newspaper she's reading more interesting than him. What's the appeal in that piece of newsprint! To Brad's astonishment, the brief encounter is the inspiration he needs. Though it means defying his parents, he decides to found Hidden Falls' first newspaper. And somehow, though she continues to elude him, he'll find a way to thank Eleanor. What starts as friendship turns to something deeper. Unfortunately, Eleanor's uncle has plans of his own, plans that threaten everything Eleanor and Brad hold dear....
