Torstensson, a lawyer, drives his car along a lonely road. It is the dead of night and he does not stop checking his rearview mirror to see if he is being followed. Suddenly, before him, he sees a chair placed on the asphalt and a human-sized doll sitting on it. Torstensson violently brakes and gets out of his car terrified in order to take a closer look at the ghostly apparition. That is the last thing that he will do with his life.
