In order to get many jobs, radiologic technologists must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), which means they must pass their certification exam.

A person is certified by ARRT in radiography after completing educational preparation standards, complying with ethics standards, and passing a certification exam.

 

The exam is taken on computer and is timed. Candidates are presented with multiple-choice questions on a computer screen and asked to select an answer using either the keyboard or a mouse. The process allows candidates to review or change any answers to any questions prior to submitting the completed examination for scoring.
