This book presents for the first time all the artists who have ever illustrated a version of The Wind in the Willows, from the famous--such as Arthur Rackham, Ernest Shepard, Inga Moore, and Robert Ingpen--to the lesser known. In all, over 90 artists are profiled, with each entry providing an overview of the artist's life and artistic approach. A number of black and white illustrations created by each artist accompanies most entries, and whenever possible, information taken from personal interviews with the artists is also included.
