12-year-old Manuel is the oldest son of a Peruvian family who were forced to leave their homeland and have emigrated to Australia. Now the family is trying to survive in a foreign country, in an area populated by other poor families in the same situation. Manuel knows that the important thing is for the family to stay united and love each other.
