In his book, Ivan Orban develops a modern Jewish world view which resolves the apparent contradiction between the facts of science and the teachings of the Torah. It is based on a new kind of evolutionary hypotheses: Evolution consists of one single, reasonable process which points toward God, namely: The Unfolding of Recognition in Creation. The book begins by tracing the development of recognition from the formation of atoms to the creation of life and to humankind today, and by presenting its characteristics and principles. Consequentially, it will appear that the principles obtained this way can be extended - without having to bend or to be forced - to interpret the Torah. This finally unites Torah and evolution, and it becomes possible to recognize the authority of the Torah without having to close one's eye to human evolution and scientific knowledge. Ivan Orban was born in Budapest in 19.3.3. He completed his studies of chemistry at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology with a Ph.D. and then became an employee of the Ciba - Geigy chemical group (now Novartis). There, he received the highest internal scientific commendation, the title of an "Expert of Science". Ivan Orban is a religious Jew. He lives with his family in Basle, Switzerland.
